This week, Piql met with key industry players at the 2018 ARRI Archive Workshop in Munich, Germany. The event was attended by over 200 people from the region involved in film archival, scanning and restoration.

The presentation included a case study on our partnership with Czech Radio where we have preserved authentic recordings from Prague’s uprising in May 1945, the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968, and important speeches from Presidents, Kings and Prime Ministers.

The workshop focused on the latest developments in the world of film archiving and restoration. There was a technology exhibition with live demonstrations as well as a full program of restoration case studies, presentations from leading industry figures, and special screenings.
